Student Teaching

I began my student teaching career during the Spring 2020 semester, revisiting my 4th-graders from my Primary II semester. I joined the class everyday for eight weeks. My classroom was a diverse group of students who challenged me throughout the semester. In a classroom of twenty-one students, I had thirteen who had IEP's, a math class with the majority receiving ESOL services, a student with an FBA, and students who were undergoing the SAP process. Being a dual major, I felt blessed to be in this placement because it was a true inclusion classroom. I learned so much about meeting the needs of all my students and learned some Spanish to communicate with my mathematics class. Unfortunately, due to my semester being during the COVID-19 outbreak, I was unable to start my second placement in an autistic support classroom. Throughout my entire experience at East Stroudsburg University, I have learned how to fully embody the role of a teacher.
