During the Summer of 2017, I had the privilege of being a part of the Philadelphia Urban Seminar for a two week experience. I was placed at Clara Barton Elementary School in a Kindergarten classroom. During this experience, I was able to connect with students and assist during lessons. My colleagues and I worked on being able to donate something to our school, which was basketballs coordinated with the "6th Man." We were involved in a community event where we were able to help clean an alleyway, garden, and learn about the different cultures. I loved being able to teach in an Urban area and get this priceless teaching experience.
